Frank Stableford Open 2024

Congratulations to Wallasey Member Joe Sephton on winning the Frank Stableford Open with a score of -6,  78 points.

Our first home winner since 1995.  A fantastic achievement and very well deserved.

A big thank you to all the Handicap Committee and Volunteers that helped out to make it a very successful day.

England Golf Award Winner

Congratulations to our member, Abi Frodsham on winning Volunteer of the Year at the prestigious England Golf Awards Evening.

Abi has helped organise, market, and deliver many successful Girls Golf Rocks programmes and follow on sessions, as well as bringing golf into 9 local schools and to over 500 children.

A very deserved award for many years of hard work and dedication. The club is extremely proud of your achievement.

Selwyn LLoyd Brilliance at Birkdale!

Congratulations to our Men's Scratch Team who won the Selwyn Lloyd Foursomes at Royal Birkdale over the weekend (7th/8th October). The team beat Delamere 2-1 in the final to claim victory in the prestigious event. They also managed to get passed Leasowe, Caldy and Formby along the way. The team was Greg Jackson (c), Joe Sephton, Dan Heron, Mike Jones, Spencer Davis and Tom Langford. Well done to everyone involved. 

Ladies Centenary Celebrations! 

In 1923 the Ladies Section at Wallasey Golf Club was formed. 100 years later our current section took to the links to celebrate the Centenary, and what better way to celebrate than to dress up 1920's style.
