Wallasey Golf Club

Wallasey Golf Club Course Development February 2021

The return to grass pathways on 9 holes over the last 4 years has been a great success, offering improved flow, contouring, accessibility and aesthetics and further artificial red shale path on holes 5, 16 & 17 have been replaced by rye/fescue grass pathways as shown below between the 15th and 16th hole.

New tees have been created, re-levelled and realigned on holes 5, 17 (pictured below) 16 and new blue tees added to 4 and 17.

Work has been carried out reinstating the links’ natural dunes clearing degenerate scrub and woodlands improving sight lines for golfers, and opening up wonderful vistas across the links and Liverpool Bay. The natural wildlife of habitat has been returned (add link for flora, fauna and wildlife) and true rolling links’ mosaic enhanced. This has helped improve the agronomic characteristic of the holes.
